Emprunt à l'anglais. AAVE and internet slang for a secret romantic or sexual partner — someone you're seeing on the low, without broadcasting it to your social circle. A sneaky link is usually casual, often involves some degree of discretion or secrecy, and may or may not have a future. The term blew up on social media around 2020–2021 and crossed from AAVE into mainstream Gen Z usage quickly, appearing in memes, TikToks, and song lyrics.
