Empréstimo do inglês. Australian university slang for 'associate professor' — a rank just below full professor in academia. Australian campus culture has a long tradition of truncating titles, and 'aspro' fits right in with that habit. If your lecturer casually introduces themselves as an aspro, you know you're in a fairly relaxed academic environment. Outside academia, it occasionally causes confusion with the pain-relief brand of the same name.
