In Indian philosophy and Hinduism, a darsana is a philosophical system or worldview — one of the classical schools of Hindu thought such as Samkhya, Yoga, or Vedanta. The word also carries the meaning of a vision or auspicious sight, particularly of a deity or holy person. The philosophical sense is the one primarily documented in English contexts.
Each of the six classical darsanas offered a distinct framework for understanding the nature of reality.
