“100% correct. Brexit allowed the closet racists to feel empowered once again. We've got to get back to racists being the pariah's they mainly were 25 years ago. Still, though rather worrying, its better to know how many cunts there are in our modern society than not 😳”

Having been given powers.
Empowered means: Having been given powers.. There is no real cause for parental concern; it is descriptive vocabulary rather than risky behaviour. If your teen uses it, context will usually make the intent clear. A short, curious question about where they heard it is usually all that is needed to know whether to follow up. For most families this word will pass by without incident; it is more a vocabulary curiosity than a parenting concern.
empowered means: Having been given powers.. Register: neutral, standard English. A common learner mistake is using the word in a register it does not fit, or assuming a single global meaning; native speakers immediately notice when slang appears in formal contexts, so always check the surrounding register before producing it yourself. A formal-English equivalent (a synonym or descriptive phrase) is usually safer in writing. When in doubt, paraphrase rather than reuse the slang form.
“We empowered biden and garland with unified control. They made a decision not to defend the constitution. That's the whole story.”

“-If your spouse leaves you, you will be empowered to reveal My character. If your son is in jail, you will be able to go on loving him. That is your hope till I return Never lose it!" Powerful. I highly recommend reading it. Our hope should be in Christ.-”
