Flunkee is an informal American term for someone who has failed (flunked) an academic course or test — a student who didn't make the grade. The '-ee' suffix denotes the recipient of the action: as the student is the one who has been flunked, they become the flunkee. The register is casual and slightly self-deprecating; calling yourself a flunkee is a way of owning failure with a bit of humour. Less common than 'flunker' or 'flunk-out' but follows standard English derivational patterns.
(US) One who flunks an academic course.
(slang, North America) Someone who has flunked: failed in an examination, been kept back to repeat a grade, or flunked out of school.
An incompetent or physically uncoordinated person.
(slang, derogatory) A person who always agrees with their superior or employer.
“Amusing that the Lukashenko flunky thinks she'd be missed.”
