Gorked is slang — used especially in medical and emergency settings — for someone who is heavily sedated, knocked out, or so doped up on medication that they are barely conscious and unresponsive. In hospitals, staff might describe a patient who has been given high doses of anaesthetics or sedatives as gorked out. The word captures the zombie-like state of someone who is present in body but entirely absent in mind, and has drifted into general use for anyone who is extremely out of it.
