MARPAT — short for Marine Pattern — is the distinctive pixelated digital camouflage pattern used by the US Marine Corps. Its fractured, blocky design broke from traditional camouflage and proved more effective at breaking up the human silhouette across multiple environments. Marines are fiercely protective of MARPAT, and its use is restricted to authorised personnel.
