Slang for a Quaalude pill — specifically the Lemmon 714 brand of methaqualone, a sedative-hypnotic drug popular as a recreational drug in the 1970s before being controlled. The term comes directly from the pharmaceutical manufacturer's name (Lemmon Company) stamped on the tablet. Quaaludes became strongly associated with 1970s party culture and have since become notorious through cultural references including 'The Wolf of Wall Street.'
Someone at the party was passing around lemmons and by midnight half the room was barely conscious.
