The Marylebone Cricket Club, the historic private cricket club based at Lord's Cricket Ground in London, which was the governing body of cricket for much of its history and still serves as the custodian of the Laws of Cricket. In everyday cricket conversation MCC refers to this institution. A military acronym sense also exists but the cricket sense is dominant in popular usage.
