To move an event earlier in time — the antonym of "postpone". A pure Indian English coinage, formed by analogy with postpone (pre- + -pone). Now completely standard across South Asian corporate English: in meeting requests, emails and verbal scheduling it is the default word for shifting something earlier. Indian and Pakistani offices use it without comment; outside South Asia it still raises eyebrows but is gradually spreading through the diaspora and is increasingly entering British English. Listed in the Oxford English Dictionary since 2001 with an "Indian English" tag, and arguably the most successful South-Asian-English export to global business writing.
