The aura of someone who moves erratically, loudly, and with potential to cause mayhem at any moment — channeling the menace of an AK-47. Can be admiring or cautionary, used to describe a person's unpredictable, high-aggression vibe in person or online.

When someone's behavior is chaotic, sharply critical, or weirdly unfiltered — as if their brain is running on a different frequency. Can describe a person, a conversation, or a creative session that got unexpectedly unhinged.

The state of being intensely locked in, operating at maximum intensity, completely in your element and going absolutely off. In NYC slang, being in mad mode means the usual filters and restraints are off and you're just running on full energy — whether that's in a creative flow state, a social setting where you're the life of the party, or a competitive situation where you're performing at a level that's making everyone else look like they came unprepared. Mad mode is not a sustainable state. But when you're in it, it's everything.

The activated state when a K-pop fan stops being a general supporter of a group and fully switches into toxic solo stan territory — defending their bias at the expense of everyone else. When someone goes into akgae mode, the discourse shifts: suddenly every group achievement is really just their fave carrying the others, every criticism of their bias is a personal attack, and subtweeting the other members becomes a daily routine. It's recognizable, exhausting, and usually ends in some form of fandom drama. The mode can switch on suddenly after a perceived slight.
