algospeak check

The act of scanning your own post, caption, or comment before hitting publish to make sure it won't get flagged, suppressed, or demonetized by platform moderation systems. An algospeak check is digital self-censorship with strategy behind it — not because you're scared, but because you know the game. Are you spelling s*x with an asterisk? Replacing 'gun' with 'piece of metal'? Writing 'unalive' instead of the clinical term? That's the check in action. Creators do it instinctively. It's become its own literacy, a second language born entirely from the need to survive platform enforcement at scale.
