ansum mode

When you're sweet and kind but you're not about to make a whole announcement about it — you just quietly do nice things and hope no one clocks it too hard. Low key ansum is the understated version of wholesomeness: you bought your coworker lunch but you told them it was on sale, you wrote the kind text but you said 'no worries if not', you cried at the movie but you called it 'allergies'. The warmth is real; the admission is reluctant. Being low key ansum is arguably the purest form of it.

A personal state of deliberate, ultra-gentle calm where someone moves, speaks, or operates at near-ASMR volume and pace — often to wind down, avoid waking someone, or simply lean into a cozy vibe. Going into asmr mode means lowering your voice to a near-whisper, handling objects with exaggerated care, and basically turning your entire existence into a satisfying ambient soundscape. It's as much a mood as a behavior, usually triggered by late nights, sensory-seeking, or the desperate need to decompress.

The deliberate mental state someone enters when they decide to stop reacting on autopilot and start actually paying attention — phone down, breath steady, notifications silenced, brain set to receive. Mindfulness mode is what people announce they're entering when the chaos gets too loud and the scroll-and-doom loop needs a hard reset. It's equal parts genuine mental health strategy and personality branding: the person in mindfulness mode will also definitely post about being in mindfulness mode. Whether it's a five-minute walk or a three-day digital detox, the mode is the message.

The mental state of being fully in your agreeable, easygoing, positive groove — responding to everything with enthusiasm and warmth, taking nothing personally, and generally operating like the most approachable version of yourself. Accha mode is what happens when your social battery is full, the chai is good, and nobody has said anything annoying yet. Desi internet culture uses it affectionately to describe someone who is effortlessly pleasant and quick to validate others without being fake about it.

A state of being that channels stereotypically Australian energy: laid-back confidence, dry sarcasm, casual disregard for authority, and a stubborn refusal to take anything too seriously. Often used humorously when someone goes full no-worries.
