Internet slang used mainly to describe a dog letting its tongue hang out past its lips — that droopy, dopey, utterly adorable look. It's onomatopoeic in spirit: soft, round, a little wet. If you've ever seen a chunky Lab panting with its tongue doing its own thing, that's a blop. The word took off in dog-loving corners of the internet and has since expanded to any animal doing the same endearing tongue-out thing.
