Bogan coded describes a person, place, object, or vibe that radiates unmistakable bogan energy — even if it doesn't announce itself as such. A car park maccas at 11pm is bogan coded. So is a shirt that says 'NO WORK THURSDAY'. The term borrows the '-coded' suffix from queer internet slang to describe something whose cultural DNA is instantly readable to anyone who grew up in regional Australia or outer-suburban anywhere. It's observational, often affectionate, and never requires much explanation.
That pub has $4 pots, a TAB terminal in the corner, and a jukebox stuck on 2003 — completely bogan coded and I love it.
