On old Usenet newsgroups and bulletin boards, you'd add annoying, spammy, or just plain obnoxious users to your bozo bin and never see their output again. The name is perfect: a 'bozo' is a clown or idiot, and the 'bin' is where you dispose of trash. It's peak early-internet bluntness.
After his third off-topic rant in as many days, I put him in the bozo bin and the forum immediately got more pleasant.
