- boost70%
On Discord, to apply a server boost using Nitro — improving the server's audio quality, upload limits, and unlocking custom invite splashes/banners. Servers level up through boost tiers (Tier 1, 2, 3). Active communities often run boost drives where members chip in nitro to keep the server at a higher tier.
- Discord kitten66%
(Internet slang) A user, typically female, of Discord who receives a subscription to the premium service Discord Nitro from another user, typically male.
- Gifted sub58%
A subscription paid for by one viewer on behalf of another (a random chatter or a specific user). Gifted subs unlock the channel's emotes, badges, and ad-free viewing for the recipient. Big-spending viewers will gift 5, 50, even thousands of subs in a single drop, often triggering a sub train. Frequently shortened to 'gifty' or 'gifted'.
- Self-bot56%
Running a bot on your own Discord user account (rather than a proper Discord bot account) — automating reactions, message responses, voice-channel joining, etc. Self-botting violates Discord's Terms of Service and can get the account terminated. Common in cheat-engine and 'farming' communities for grinding rewards.
- Nuke56%
In Discord, to destroy a server — deleting all channels/roles/messages, often via a malicious bot or compromised admin account. 'Server got nuked overnight' is a recurring horror story. Many servers have 'anti-nuke' bots that detect mass-channel-delete patterns and lock the actor out before the damage spreads.
