Definitions
The focused, heads-down state someone enters when they've committed to learning an entirely new set of skills — no distractions, just tutorials, courses, and relentless practice. Reskill mode is often triggered by a job loss, an industry shakeup, or a personal wake-up call. When someone goes into reskill mode, their social calendar disappears and their browser history becomes a stack of YouTube tutorials, Udemy receipts, and Reddit threads about career switches.
I'm in full reskill mode right now — 3 hours of Python a night, no plans on weekends until I land something.

Sometimes it's a curriculum problem; sometimes it's a market timing problem; and sometimes you just pivoted from one dying industry into another. Brutal, but educational.

Taking the reskilling process to its absolute maximum — not just learning one new skill but going all in on total professional reinvention with relentless intensity.
