The single most extreme, defining moment of someone's simp behavior — the act so devoted, so self-sacrificing, or so publicly embarrassing that it becomes the reference point for everything that comes after. Peak simp is usually identified retroactively, once everyone has had time to process what they just witnessed. It's the gesture that made the group chat go silent before exploding. It's the thing people bring up years later when they want to explain who you were in your feelings era. Once you've peaked, there's nowhere left to simp.

Someone who goes overboard showing affection or support for a person (usually a romantic interest) in the hope of attention. Often self-deprecating — "I'm a simp for her."

Someone who has mastered the art of putting another person on an impossibly high pedestal, earning a mock royal title for their unmatched dedication. A simp king rules a kingdom of unrequited effort — liking every post, defending every bad take, and treating a person who barely texts back as though they hung the moon. The title is delivered sarcastically by onlookers who have witnessed too many self-sacrificial acts. To be called a simp king is to have your simping recognized at a structural, institutional level.
