The mental state of operating in full triage, heads-down, everything-is-on-fire productivity — borrowed from agile methodology but applied to any situation where normal functioning is suspended in favor of rapid, collaborative problem-solving. When someone is in scrum mode, pleasantries are suspended, tasks are spoken in bullet points, and any question not relevant to the immediate crisis gets a hard redirect. It's a compliment and a warning simultaneously: this person will get the thing done, and you will not be getting small talk from them right now.
The state of operating at maximum velocity with zero time for detours — head down, objectives locked, everything non-essential ignored. Speedrun mode is what you enter when the deadline is too close, the patience is too thin, or you've simply decided that the normal pace of life doesn't apply to you right now. It's not about quality; it's about throughput. Used admiringly when someone smashes through a task, and humorously when someone is clearly skipping steps they probably shouldn't skip.

When someone's in sprint mode, interrupting them is borderline criminal. The work comes out the other side either done or dead.
