unspoken buff

When someone is clearly jacked but nobody brings it up — either because it's so obvious it doesn't need saying or because bringing it up would feel weird in context. Unspoken buff is the gym elephant in the room: the coworker who is visibly shredded but everyone just pretends is normal, the friend who got huge over the summer and nobody wants to make it a whole thing. There's a social code around noticing bodies, and unspoken buff is what happens when the observation stays collective but silent.
