Slang is read by different audiences for very different reasons. The For parents view re-explains the term in plain, non-judgemental language so a caregiver can understand what their child means without needing the surrounding subculture. NT is internet shorthand for 'nice try,' deployed with varying degrees of sarcasm. At its mildest, it's a genuine if brief acknowledgment of a decent attempt — in gaming, it's often sincere encouragement after a close loss. At its most cutting, it's a dismissive clap-back to someone whose argument, burn, or flex clearly missed the mark. A two-letter verdict that can sting or soothe depending entirely on who's typing it and why.

A stretch of time — in sports, gaming, work, or life — when someone is consistently performing at their peak and everything they touch turns to gold. Mvp szn is declared with genuine excitement, often in the middle of a hot streak that everyone can see. It's the acknowledgment that this isn't a one-game thing; it's a whole run. The phrase gets used in sports coverage, fantasy leagues, group chats, and anywhere people track who's showing up and delivering.

Distinct from text channels (which are also abbreviated 'ch'). Communities often have multiple vcs for different activities (gaming vc, music vc, chill vc).
