Definitions
W flexing is a flex that's actually earned and lands cleanly — showing off something genuinely impressive, backed by real receipts, that even skeptics can't deny. The 'W' (win) elevates the flex from mere bravado to documented success. W flexing is what separates the people with genuine credibility from the ones performing. It can be financial, social, athletic, or creative — what matters is that the flex is anchored to a verifiable win that gives it weight and silences the haters before they can even open their mouths.
Getting the acceptance letter and posting it the same day — that's pure W flexing, fully deserved, no one is arguing.

- l flexing76%
L flexing is the embarrassing act of showing off something that is actually a loss — bragging about a situation or possession that most people would recognize as an L without realizing it. The L flexer lacks the self-awareness to understand that what they're presenting as a win reads as a failure to the audience. This can range from financial misjudgments dressed up as success to relationship overshares that reveal obvious red flags. The observer is caught between secondhand embarrassment and genuine concern for whoever's watching.

To show off — possessions, skills, achievements, partners, views. "Hard flex" = unmissable brag. "Soft flex" = casually dropped reference. "Weird flex but ok" disarms someone bragging about something irrelevant: a one-line roast for oversharers.

Showing off — wealth, status, accomplishments, or muscles. Usually social-media-coded.
- sus flex73%
A sus flex is a show-off move that raises more questions than it answers — the sudden display of wealth that makes people wonder how, exactly, you got it. New car with no obvious income source. Designer gear that doesn't match the lifestyle anyone's witnessed. Holidays that cost more than your apparent salary. Sus flexes prompt the community audit: the comments section quietly starts doing the maths. The flex is real, but the origin story isn't, or at least isn't something the person is willing to share, which makes the whole performance feel slightly off.

Flex hierarchy: hard flex (obvious brag), soft flex (casually dropped), humble flex (disguised as complaint), weird flex (irrelevant but volunteered anyway). A humble flex is the preferred modern form — mentioning your vacation, promotion, or new relationship in passing while pretending not to.
