aggravator arc

The narrative trajectory someone goes through as they escalate — or de-escalate — from agitated behavior. Used to describe a person's journey through a period of high aggression, especially when viewed from the outside with some narrative distance. Someone who was raging online for weeks and then suddenly went quiet has completed their aggy arc. The term borrows from character arc language, framing real-life behavior with the detached analysis you'd give a TV protagonist.

The recognisable narrative trajectory of someone who starts out calm or even-tempered and progressively becomes angrier over time — usually due to accumulated slights, disappointments, or one too many broken promises. Everyone has watched someone go through their angrify arc: the sweet colleague who finally snaps, the patient parent who reaches their limit, the fan who starts out defending a celebrity and ends up posting essays. The term frames real emotional journeys through the storytelling lens of character development.

The ongoing storyline of someone's prolonged, documented anger — usually tracked by a fanbase, friend group, or timeline with increasing investment. Angy arc implies the irritation has lasted long enough to have chapters: an inciting incident, escalating grievances, public reactions, and potential resolution. It's what happens when 'angy' goes from a one-off moment to a whole personality for a season. Fandom spaces in particular love charting a creator's or character's angy arc with genuine narrative analysis and zero irony.

The extended narrative trajectory of someone going through a prolonged loss streak — a story with a beginning, escalating failures, and hopefully a redemption end point that friends are still waiting to see. An L arc isn't a single bad day; it's a multi-week or multi-month saga of compounding setbacks that the people around you have started mentally charcing as chapters. The arc framing implies potential for growth, which is the internet's way of being almost kind about watching someone's situation get worse before it gets better.

The story arc of a player — or occasionally a streamer or pro — during which their gameplay deteriorates so badly, so publicly, and so consistently that observers begin narrating it as a character development. The int arc is watched with fascination: each death builds the lore, each terrible decision adds a chapter. The arc framing implies it has a beginning, a chaotic middle, and an eventual resolution — usually either a ban, a public breakdown, or an unexpected comeback that redeems the whole thing cinematically.
