Actively leaning into being an idiot or doing the dumbest possible version of something, often ironically or for entertainment. Derived from the Japanese insult 'aho' (fool) combined with 'maxxing' (maximizing a trait to its extreme). Someone who is aho maxxing is committing fully to stupidity — either as a joke, out of laziness, or because they genuinely don't care how it looks.
He submitted the assignment as a single sentence and said he was aho maxxing this semester.
