banninate szn

The state a moderator or admin enters when they're mass-banning with zero chill — nuking accounts, muting channels, and scorching the earth. Often invoked when a server gets raided or a community goes feral.

A period — often the holiday season or a warm summer stretch — when online communities feel unusually warm, supportive, and welcoming, as if the whole internet collectively agreed to be wholesome for a while. References the cyclical peaks of friendliness in online spaces.

A period of time when bamma behavior is in full bloom — usually the off-season, a lull between events, or a stretch where nobody's out and everyone's letting themselves go. Bamma szn is when fits get lazy, standards drop, and the dusty energy spreads like a social contagion. It can refer to a literal season (summer when school's out, winter hibernation mode) or a cultural moment when the bammafication of the group has reached a noticeable high. Someone calls it out because they see it happening in real time.

(Internet slang, humorous, transitive) To ban.

Stan szn — short for stan season — is the stretch of time when a beloved artist, show, or public figure is actively dropping content, making moves, or generating enough buzz that stanning them hits differently. During stan szn, the fandom energy is at its absolute peak: streaming parties, countdown clocks, group chats melting down, and Twitter trends every other day. Outside of stan szn, the fandom idles in maintenance mode; during it, everyone's fully activated and the chaos is beautiful.
