The state of actively, deliberately copying someone else's creative output — style, sound, aesthetic, format, or all of the above — without any pretence of originality. When an artist, influencer, or brand goes into bite mode, they've essentially decided that someone else did the creative work so they don't have to. It's usually obvious to everyone watching. Bite mode can be an insult hurled at a copycat, or a darkly self-aware admission that inspiration has curdled into straight-up jacking.
Their whole rebrand is in bite mode — same colour palette, same font, same content pillars as the original.
