A bussin check is the moment of honest judgment: does this actually slap, or was the hype misplaced? It can happen at a restaurant ('is this bussin though?'), on a playlist, or even in a friendship group assessing whether the night is worth staying for. A bffr check is a sharp reality-test delivered to someone who is clearly in their feelings, in denial, or operating with a deeply skewed perspective — it's the verbal equivalent of a gentle but firm slap back to reality.
