A player who hides in one spot to ambush opponents instead of moving around — considered a cheap, annoying tactic in FPS games. "Spawn camper" is the darkest form: waiting at the respawn point to kill newly-spawned players on cooldown. Universally hated.

When someone fully leans into passive, low-effort behavior — whether in a game, a group chat, or real life — they've activated camper mode. It means going invisible, minimizing risk, and letting everyone else carry the action while you exist quietly in the corner. Not necessarily lazy, just strategically unhelpful. Often used affectionately to describe a friend who shows up but contributes nothing, or a gamer who parks in one spot waiting for kills to roll in.

A camper whose stillness and hidden positioning raises red flags — they're not just hiding to avoid action, they're hiding in a way that feels calculated, deceptive, or straight-up shifty. In games, a sus camper is someone who camps near objectives in a way that suggests they're up to something beyond passive play. In everyday life it describes someone who goes quiet at exactly the wrong moment, disappears when accountability comes up, or lurks without ever making their intentions clear. Something's off and you can't prove it.

The undisputed elite player of a particular character — someone whose mastery is so complete, so deeply studied, and so brutally effective that the community universally recognizes them as the definitive standard for that main. A main god doesn't just play the character; they understand every frame, every matchup, every tech at a level that others study like scripture. The term transcends gaming into fandom and competitive culture: whatever the field, the main god is the one person you point to when you need to prove what peak commitment looks like.
