drip check

A quick scan of someone's outfit to assess whether they're actually serving looks or just think they are — essentially calling for a drip audit before they leave the house. An adrip check is both a favour and a roast opportunity: you're either confirming that yes, the fit is giving exactly what it's supposed to give, or you're the person who has to break the news that the shoes are killing the whole operation. Often performed between friends with brutally honest taste, an adrip check can save a bad fashion moment before it becomes a documented public record.

Style; especially expensive or well-coordinated outfits and accessories. To "have drip" means dressing impressively.

An impromptu assessment of how hard someone's jewelry, accessories, or overall drip is hitting at any given moment. A bling check can be self-administered in a mirror before going out, or issued by a friend scanning your fit. It's part quality control, part flex validation — you either pass with your chain gleaming or get sent back to your room to upgrade. The bling check is both a ritual and a declaration that looking good isn't optional, it's a standard you're being held to.

A flex check is the moment of scrutiny where someone's claimed drip, wealth, or status gets evaluated — either by themselves in the mirror before they leave the house, or by an audience who will immediately call out anything that doesn't add up. It's both a noun (submitting yourself to a flex check) and an implied social ritual. On social media it became a format: post your outfit, car, or setup and let the comments deliver the verdict. A passed flex check is validation; a failed one is a ratio waiting to happen.

Verb: "to drip" — to wear stylish clothes, to look stylish. "He's dripping today."
