fit check

A quick social audit — asking or confirming whether a take, plan, outfit, or person actually holds up to scrutiny. Doing a valid check means running something through the collective filter of your group or your own standards to see if it genuinely tracks. It can be sincere (genuinely unsure) or performative (already know it's good, just want the validation out loud). Either way, it's the slang version of 'does this actually make sense?' — applied to virtually anything.

A flex check is the moment of scrutiny where someone's claimed drip, wealth, or status gets evaluated — either by themselves in the mirror before they leave the house, or by an audience who will immediately call out anything that doesn't add up. It's both a noun (submitting yourself to a flex check) and an implied social ritual. On social media it became a format: post your outfit, car, or setup and let the comments deliver the verdict. A passed flex check is validation; a failed one is a ratio waiting to happen.

The ritual request to evaluate someone's outfit, accessories, or overall aesthetic presentation. A drip check can be a humble flex — posting a fit pic fishing for validation — or a genuine crowdsourced style audit. On social media it's practically a genre: reply threads where followers rate the drip on a scale, roast the shoes, debate the jacket. The check implies judgment will follow, so only initiate one if you're ready for the verdict.

A moment of self-assessment or mutual accountability among friends to verify that someone is acting authentically feminine or staying true to their soft, girlie aesthetic. Often used affectionately on TikTok and in group chats to call out or confirm girlie behavior.
