A flex check is the moment of scrutiny where someone's claimed drip, wealth, or status gets evaluated — either by themselves in the mirror before they leave the house, or by an audience who will immediately call out anything that doesn't add up. It's both a noun (submitting yourself to a flex check) and an implied social ritual. On social media it became a format: post your outfit, car, or setup and let the comments deliver the verdict. A passed flex check is validation; a failed one is a ratio waiting to happen.

A call-out or self-assessment determining whether someone is playing intentionally badly in a game — deliberately dying, feeding kills, or throwing objectives on purpose. Dropping an int check on a teammate is equal parts accusation and interrogation: are you actually this bad or is something deliberate happening here? The check invites either a confession, a defensive explanation, or a meltdown in chat. A staple of competitive gaming communication, it has migrated into everyday discourse to question whether someone's terrible decision-making is wilful or just genuinely catastrophic.

A quick poll thrown out in a multiplayer game lobby — usually typed in chat — asking whether the team is collectively ready to surrender and end the match early. The ff check is the democratic last resort before a team finally accepts the game is cooked. Whoever calls it is either the realist who's been watching the scoreboard or the person who died three times in a row and needs the mercy kill. Either way, the ff check separates the fighters from the people who've already mentally logged off.
