A state of heightened, unfiltered gyat awareness — when someone (or a whole group) is on high alert for impressive backsides and is not being subtle about it. Gyat mode is equal parts a real behavior and a comedic bit: the person in gyat mode is reacting audibly, narrating their observations, and generally making it a group sport. Can describe a single moment or a sustained vibe, like a group of friends who have collectively decided that today they are not holding back their reactions.
We hit the beach and my friend group immediately went into gyat mode, it was impossible to have a normal conversation.
