Gyatt mode is the state of being fully locked in on noticing, appreciating, and reacting to exceptional posteriors — a perceptual setting that, once activated, makes it impossible to walk through a gym, mall, or beach without constant involuntary commentary. It's used both literally (someone who can't stop reacting) and self-deprecatingly (admitting you've been distracted all day). Getting caught in gyatt mode is a rite of passage in Gen Z friend groups, usually ending in roasting from everyone nearby who clocked you clocking someone else.

Someone whose physical proportions — specifically their backside — are notably impressive, enough to regularly produce gyat reactions from those around them. A gyater is not just someone who has a gyat but someone who wields it consistently, leaving a trail of dropped jaws wherever they go. The '-er' suffix frames it as an identity or role rather than a one-time observation, giving it a slightly playful, character-building energy. Used admiringly, mostly in Gen Alpha and younger Gen-Z circles.

An exclamation of surprise or admiration — typically at someone's body shape. Essentially a stylized "goddamn." Popularized by streamer YourRAGE around 2022. "Gyat" rose through Twitch → TikTok → Gen Alpha middle-school cafeterias in under 18 months.
