Either the absolute maximum point of fun in a session — that hour where everything clicks, the stories are flowing, nobody wants to leave, and it couldn't possibly get better — or, in British slang, a situation that is outrageously unfortunate or embarrassing. Peak craic as a positive is sacred; it's the moment the whole night was building toward. Peak craic as shade means someone managed to have the worst time in the most visible way possible.
