Borrowed from gaming culture where a speedrun check verifies record legitimacy, in everyday slang it's that moment someone pauses to ask: are you actually processing this or just blasting through it? Can be used ironically when watching someone race through a relationship, a job, or a life milestone at suspicious velocity. Equal parts admiring and concerned.

A quick gut-check to see if someone is still moving fast or if they've quietly tapped out. A sprint check is the social equivalent of a team standup — calling on someone to confirm they're still in go-mode and haven't silently stalled.
