Describes a person, comment, or post that radiates unmistakable energy of someone deep in uncritical admiration — the phrasing, the defensiveness, the complete absence of critical thought. You can spot glazed coded behavior from a distance. It does not announce itself. It just cannot stop talking about one person in exclusively glowing terms.

Excessively praising or kissing up to someone. In Gen Z usage it's the social register; in tech it also describes overly sycophantic AI models. "Stop glazing him — he literally just passed a midterm." OpenAI famously rolled back a GPT-4o update in April 2025 for being too glazing.

The unmistakable vibe radiating off someone who has completely lost the ability to be objective about whatever or whoever they're into. Glazing energy isn't always negative — sometimes it's endearing in a 'they're just really passionate' way — but it makes it hard to trust their takes as anything other than promotional. You can spot it in the phrasing, the uncritical warmth, and the way every answer somehow circles back to how great this one person is.

A call-out moment where someone pauses to assess whether what they're doing or saying constitutes glazing — excessive, unearned praise that crosses from genuine fandom into embarrassing sycophancy. A glazing check can be self-imposed ('wait, am I glazing right now?') or issued by a friend who's watched you go too far defending a celebrity or creator. It's the reality check that stops the glazing spiral before it gets worse.

Glazing cranked to an almost unhinged extreme — praise so excessive, so relentless, and so disconnected from reality that it stops being flattering and starts becoming a spectacle. Hyper glazing is when the compliments stop being about the subject and start being about the glazer's performance of devotion. Everyone watching knows it's gone too far, including possibly the person being praised, who may start to feel genuinely uncomfortable with the heat.
