Lore is the deep backstory of a video game, TV show, fictional world, or a person. "What's the lore?" = give me the backstory. Originally about mythology, now used jokingly about anyone's life. Not concerning, just dramatic teen vocabulary. If your kid uses it constantly, ask them where they first heard it, not to police their speech but to understand which online community they are in.
Slang is read by different audiences for very different reasons.
