Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed. A matrix specifying who does what on a project. Deeply corporate; occasionally useful. "Someone make a RACI before this goes sideways" is the cry of every PM watching a multi-team project drift. The matrix is half discipline, half performance art.

The act of applying RACI accountability matrices to every possible situation to an absurd degree — going maximum-effort on organizational clarity long past the point of usefulness or sanity. Someone RACI maxxing has built nested RACI charts for their personal goals, their Netflix watchlist, and their own internal decision-making process. It is the ultimate expression of corporate-brained optimization that has fully escaped its professional context and colonized everyday life.

RACI mode is when someone at work suddenly gets extremely precise about accountability structures — assigning every task a clear owner, demanding documented sign-offs, and refusing to let anything proceed without an explicit responsible party named. It kicks in after a project collapses due to nobody owning anything, or when a manager gets burned enough times to stop assuming shared responsibility means actual responsibility. Going into RACI mode can save a project or irritate everyone on the team depending on how badly things were going before.
