Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed. A matrix specifying who does what on a project. Deeply corporate; occasionally useful. "Someone make a RACI before this goes sideways" is the cry of every PM watching a multi-team project drift. The matrix is half discipline, half performance art.

A RACI check is the moment in a project meeting when someone stops the conversation to establish who's actually Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed before everyone charges ahead doing duplicate work or stepping on each other's toes. Peak RACI is the all-hands where someone presents a 47-column accountability matrix for deciding what font to use in the company newsletter. It's the point at which a useful tool has become a parody of itself, and everyone in the room can see it except the person presenting.
