A state of active, visible agitation where someone is so bothered by a person or situation that it takes over their entire operating system. When someone is in pressed mode they can't help but react — every post becomes a response, every conversation circles back to the source of their irritation. The "mode" framing, borrowed from gaming's beast mode and God mode vocabulary, implies a deliberate or at least fully committed activation. Unlike baseline pressed, pressed mode is total immersion: you've not just noticed the threat, you've assigned it all available bandwidth.

The specific flavor of being bothered that comes from having already taken an L — losing something and then being visibly, continuously agitated about it. L-pressed people can't move on from a defeat; they're too busy being mad about it to learn from it.
