Once yap mode is activated, expect rapid-fire opinions, extended tangents, unsolicited life updates, and zero signs of stopping. It can be triggered by nervousness, excitement, caffeine, or simply having a lot to say. Yap mode is often announced self-referentially ('sorry I'm in full yap mode right now') as a light disclaimer before proceeding to yap for another twenty minutes.
