yaper

Someone who yapps — who talks too much, too long, and often about things that don't require that much talking. A yaper is not necessarily malicious; they're just constitutionally unable to shut up, fueled by enthusiasm, anxiety, or a deep belief that every thought they have is worth sharing in full. The yaper in your friend group is the reason the group chat is always unread. They mean well. They simply have not yet discovered the gift of silence. Often self-identified with a mix of shame and pride.
